Surrey Fireplace Rescue Service was known as to the scene of a most critical fire in Surrey, B.C., early Thursday afternoon.
There had been no injuries, and crews acquire since been in a location to acquire the fire.
David Burns, assistant chief of operations for Surrey Fireplace Rescue Service, says firefighters arrived at approximately 2 p.m. PT to a 1,000-sq.-foot metal-clad building solely engulfed in flames.
The building is found in Surrey’s Bridgeview neighbourhood. While he does now not know the name of the industry, Burns says it is an auto salvage industry on the 13100 block of 116 Avenue, north of the South Fraser Perimeter Avenue.
Firefighters initiated a defensive attack and needed to activate a 2nd dread for more sources. There had been 24 firefighters on the scene and eight fire autos, says Burns.
Burns says the building is likely fully destroyed.
“Since it be a defensive fire they’re now not coming into the building and … it was solely enthusiastic after they arrived.”
The rationalization for the fire is yet to be definite.
