Comic Eddie Colossal, identified for being phase of double act Limited and Colossal, has died, his agent has confirmed.

The fundamental person, 78, used to be a neatly identified face on TV within the 1970s and 80s and used to be neatly-known for his partnership with Syd Limited.

Agent Peter Mansfield confirmed his demise on Thursday.

Colossal, whose real title used to be Hugh McGinnis, used to be born in Glasgow but grew up in Manchester. In present years he lived in Portishead, close to Bristol.

Fellow comics including Limited Britain’s Matt Lucas paid tribute on Twitter, writing: “Eddie Colossal (along along with his supersonic buddy Syd) used to be the truth is pleasing and form and intriguing to me when I was a nipper on Shooting Stars. So sad to hear of his passing.”

Actress Kate Robbins described him as a “gigantic chap”.

“Sorry to hear the comic Eddie Colossal has died,” she tweeted. “A real professional. Relaxation in peace Eddie”.

‘Gentle, comical man’

Jason Manford added: “So sorry to hear about Eddie Colossal passing away.

“Came to each comedy and musical display veil I did each time I hit Bristol and used to be always around for a chat about comedy and Man City afterwards. Such a soft, comical man. RIP Eddie.”

Manchester City Soccer Membership additionally paid tribute to Colossal, who used to be a lifelong fan, announcing all americans on the membership used to be sad on the news.

Colossal shaped the double act Limited and Colossal with Syd Limited in 1963.

They went on to win Different Knocks and had a long-working comedy sketch display veil on BBC One within the 1970s and 80s.
